Twin climbing champions return stronger after shoulder injuries

Posted on: July 1st, 2026 by Our Team

Twin brothers Aiden and Logan Krajnik, elite teenage rock climbers with Olympic aspirations, both overcame serious shoulder injuries and returned to competition stronger than before after treatment from sports medicine surgeon Zahab Ahsan.

Aiden suffered a torn labrum and shoulder dislocation during a world championship event in China. After undergoing prompt surgical repair and a structured rehabilitation program, he regained shoulder stability and returned to high-level climbing.

Shortly afterward, Logan experienced a similar labral injury. He initially tried platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, but after re-injuring his shoulder, he also underwent surgery. His procedure included repair of the labrum and a specialized technique to reinforce the attachment of the biceps tendon.

With dedicated physical therapy and support from their care team, both brothers successfully returned to competitive climbing and pole vaulting. Their story highlights the importance of accurate diagnosis, individualized treatment, rehabilitation, and perseverance in helping young athletes recover from significant shoulder injuries and return to the sports they love.
